Airea Wellness

Building an indoor wellness brand from the ground up

Airea is a compact air and surface purifier developed by MNML’s in-house venture and incubation team.

As the brand designer, I shaped Airea from its earliest stages, starting with just a product and a logo. I built a cohesive brand identity system across messaging, digital, packaging, marketing, and experiential, carrying it from the early development stages through launch.

The goal was to make Airea feel less like another piece of home technology and more like something you’d actually want to live with.

Airea’s technology is sophisticated, but the product itself is designed to be quiet and unobtrusive. The challenge was communicating the science without making the brand feel clinical or overly technical.

I developed the visual language and messaging to make the technology feel clean, approachable, and easy to understand.

Communicating how Airea works to consumers was a challenge. The purification process is invisible, so there wasn’t an obvious visual story to tell.

I worked with our visualization team to create animations that illustrated the purification process in an approachable and calming way.

Once the core identity was established, I carried the system across packaging, sell sheets, email, social, and all other launch materials.

I built and managed Airea’s email marketing system, from campaign design and messaging to automated customer journeys, templates, and flows. I created targeted communications for new customers and the broader mailing list, ensuring the brand experience continued beyond the purchase.

The packaging was designed to do more with less. Recyclable materials, right-sized components, and minimal bulk created a simple, intentional unboxing experience true to the brand.

Airea wasn't just launched online. We brought the product into the real world during NeoCon and Fulton Design Days.

The pop-up gave people a chance to see the product, the technology, and the work behind it up close.
